How BedMate works

    Sign in with Google or GitHub. No email registration and no real name required. BedMate is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.

    Choose an anonymous username, set your gender, and take a short MBTI and Enneagram personality test so we can match you on compatibility.

  3. 3. Choose your matching radius

    Set the distance you want to match within (up to 68 km). BedMate matches by distance only — your exact coordinates are never shown to anyone.

  4. 4. Match or drift a bottle

    Browse compatible people nearby and decide who to share contact details with, or toss an anonymous message bottle and see who picks it up.

Is BedMate free to use?

Yes. Creating an account and matching with people nearby is completely free, with no premium tiers or paywalls.

How do I sign up?

There is no email registration. You sign in with Google or GitHub, then complete a short onboarding: username, gender, a personality test, and your location.

How does location-based matching work?

BedMate matches you with people inside a radius you choose (up to 68 km for regular users). Matching uses distance only — your precise coordinates are never shown to other users.

Is my exact location shared?

No. Only an approximate matching radius that you set is used. Your exact GPS coordinates are never revealed to anyone.

What are MBTI and Enneagram matching?

MBTI (16 types) and the Enneagram (9 types) are personality frameworks. BedMate uses your results to suggest people whose personalities are compatible with yours.

What are anonymous message bottles?

A message bottle is an anonymous note you send out. Another user can pick it up at random, and the bottle disappears after it is read.

Do I have to use my real name or photo?

No. Profiles are anonymous. You choose a username and an avatar, and you decide if and when to share any contact details.

Is BedMate only for hookups?

No. BedMate is for meeting compatible people nearby — friendship, dating, or conversation. You stay in control of your intent and what you share.

What languages does BedMate support?

BedMate is available worldwide in English, 中文, 日本語 and 한국어.
